Resumen:
Epidemiological surveillance for Community-associated Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus-(CA-MRSA) revealed 33% and 13% of prevalence in paediatric and adults patients respectively in Cordoba-Argentina-2005. This study describe for the first time the emergence and dissemination of ST5 lineage as the most prevalent (89%) clone (pulsotypeI-ST5-SCCmecIVa-t311) harbouring Panton-Valentine leukocidin and enterotoxin A genes.
