Byzantine Greek Apocalypses: From Islam to Iconoclasm

I will initially focus my attention in a couple of those texts: The Greek Pseudo Methodius and Pseudo Ephrem’s Sermo de Fine Mundi. Then I will comment on some less known eight and early ninth century Texts that kept the Apocalyptic tradition at the center of the ideological discussion in Byzantium during the days of the Iconoclastic Controversy.
