Resumen:
Although the Council of Constance left the causae Jean Petit and the Johannes Falkenbergopen without a final sentence for heresy, we can see that conciliar authority was invoked inorder to justify the continuity of Judicial Procedure and to point out the contradictionswith that would eventually emerge if an appeal to a council was prohibited. The view of non-Europeans about Medieval European History might contribute to asknew questions and pave the way to start intersecting different historiographic traditions in acreative way (Conciliar studies, national historiographic traditions). It is already happeningwithin national traditions as well.
