Abstract
Excavations carried out by the Argentine Archaeological Mission at the Saite site of Tell el-Ghaba, north Sinai, Egypt (VII-VI centuries BC), have retrieved a great deal of small finds, among them several Bes figurines. This article describes those divine figurines and traces the development of god Bes over the time, his origin, and attributes.
