Resumen:
Lipids are important components of the plasma membrane of all bacteria and play a key role in cell viability. The major membrane lipids are phospholipids consisting of fatty acids esterified to glycerolphosphate derivatives   and are called phosphoglycerides. Biochemical, genetic, and structural studies permitted to understand in great detail the phosphoglyceride metabolism in model bacteria. 219
