Resumen:
Preliminary results of the photometric wide-field study of the globular cluster system (GCS) of the field elliptical galaxy NGC1172 are presented. The images used were obtained with GMOS in Gemini South in the filters , and . The aim of this work is to characterize the GCS of the host galaxy in order to find clues about its formation and evolution.
