Resumen:
We present partial results of an investigation in the Ara OB1 region. This area includes several open clusters and embedded clusters as well as major H II regions. The study was based on photometric observations of our own (UBV IH®) and public data (infrared data from 2MASS and kinematic data from UCAC2). To date, the main objects studied in this region were the open clusters NGC 6167 and NGC 6193. The analysis has allowed to recalculate the fundamental parameters of these objects. We also have found several stars with possible H® emission that could be identi¯ed as Be or PMS stars.
