Resumen:
We report on a quantitative analysis strategy designed todisentangle the several stellar components of the young and old disc ofour galaxy along the third galactic quadrant. More than ten selectedareas covering 20x20 arcmin each have been observed in the UBV passbands.The U, B, V CCD photometry of the fields under study wereobtained at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory with the 1.0 mtelescope operated by the SMARTS consortium.
