Resumen:
This paper analyses the reliability of the reddening estimates, extended to the entire sky, from two new Galaxy models built by Amores & L´epine (2005), using as a source of empirical data the database of open star clusters WEBDA1. We also used the 100 µm maps by Schlegel et al.(1998). It is concluded that the predictions of the Amˆores & L´epine models have a good correlation with empirical values until a relatively close distance to the Sun, while the Schlegel et al. model do not match the reddening estimation within the Milky Way.1.
