Systematic study of young star clusters in the galaxy NGC 253

We carried out a search and identification of young star groups on alarge area of the spiral galaxy NGC 253. The study was based onimages of five fields observed with the ACS/WFC camera of the HubbleSpace Telescope. For the identification of these groups, we have useddifferent searching methods over a selection of bright blue stars. Thesemethods consist in perform a large scale search by means of buildingstellar density maps, and then, a more detailed search using the PLCmethod that taking into account the spatial distance betweenneighboring objects.
