Resumen:
The presence of the Lorentz force in a gravitational field results in an effective gravity which is very different from the gravity in the absence of magnetic fields. This effective gravity is local and depends on the direction of the magnetic field as well as its strength. As a result of the alteration of the local gravity in the atmosphere, we can observe that the abundance of certain chemical elements is either enhanced or depressed. This would result in the formation of clouds in the stellar atmosphere. In order to model this effect, we have calculated the changes of chemical abundances in radiative atmospheres of early-type stars with magnetic fields. To this end, we developed a code that allows to compute the atomic diffusion for various elements with different ionization stages in presence of magnetic fields.
