Resumen:
Abstract. Deep images in several bands V IC corresponding to the area of IC 2944/2948 have been obtained using a wide-field camera (WFI/2.2m MPG / ESO). Then we carried out PSF photometry of the combined images. Thus the behavior of the lower main sequence from the stellar population in this area has been studied. Our data were supplemented with information of the brightest objects available in different previous work and / or public databases. The preliminary analysis of the obtained data has allowed us to estimate the characteristics of the stellar population in this direction of the Galaxy.
