Resumen:
The early B-type supergiant 55 Cygni exhibits pronounced night-to-night variations in its P-Cygni line profiles (mainly in Hα and Hβ) related to the presence of a strong variable stellar wind. In this work we study a sample of spectroscopic observations of 55 Cygni, taken at the Observatory of Ondrejov (Czech Republic), in order to analyze the variation of the wind parameters. Observations are modeled using the FASTWIND code (Santolaya- Rey, Puls & Herrero 1997, A&A 323, 488-512). We discuss plausible mechanisms leading to the variable nature of this wind.
