Resumen:
We investigate the physical processes involved in the development of the colour-magnitude relation (CMR) followed by cluster galaxies by using a combination of cosmological N-body simulations of cluster of galaxies and a semi-analytic model of galaxy formation. Simulated results are compared with observational data finding a very good agreement, however in many clusters the bright end of the CMR departs from the linear fit to observed data, as traced by less luminous galaxies. We explain this break by means of our model.
