Resumen:
In this talk we consider the problem of bringing a quantum system from an initial state to one with desired properties. Basics of control theory are briefly discussed, as the controllability of a system and the problem of optimal control will be presented. In particular we describe in detail the Chopped RAndom Basis (CRAB) optimal control technique [1]. As an application of this approach we will show how to get a quasi-BEC, in an quasi-1D trap, to the first excited state in order to create matter-wave beams of twin-atoms [2].[1] Phys. Rev.
