Degenerate Ising model in the frustrated honeycomb lattice

Resumen:
We present a study of classical Ising spins in the bilayer honeycomb lattice. It has been shown that in the Heisenberg case, this systems has a rich phenomenogy and is highly degenerate in the strongly frustrated point. We focus on this particular point and show that in the Ising case, the system at zero magnetization (m = 0) and m = 1/2 is expected to be degenerate and to have finite entropy. We show preliminary results ofMetropolis Monte Carlo simulations, and discuss comparison with other algorithms, such as Wang-Landau
