Degenerate Ising model in the frustrated honeycomb lattice

We present a study of classical Ising spins in the bilayer honeycomb lattice. It has been shown that in the Heisenberg case, this systems has a rich phenomenogy and is highly degenerate in the strongly frustrated point. We focus on this particular point and show that in the Ising case, the system at zero magnetization (m = 0) and m = 1/2 is expected to be degenerate and to have finite entropy. We show preliminary results of Metropolis Monte Carlo simulations. We also show results obtained with the Wang Landualgorithm of the density of states and of the entropy for m=0.
