(talk) In this talk, we first introduce the concept of classical order by disorder. We then show that for particular values of the couplings, the bilayer honeycomb lattice is a highly degenerate and frustated system where order by disorder is the state selection mechanism along all the magnetization curve. We present the evidence of order by disorder in the specific heat obtained from Monte Carlo simulations, and compare it with analytical calculations of the fluctuations of possible configurations. We show that there is a good agreement between analytical and simulation results.
