New polynuclear copper and silver thiosacharinates

The cyclic thioamides (thiones) and their anions are good mono and polydentate ligands for transition metal ions. Then, a great number of binary and ternary metal thionates, having mononuclear to very complex polynuclear molecular structures, have been prepared and characterised in the last decades [1]. The present work continues our research on metal complexes of thiosaccharin, the thione form of saccharin [2]. We present here the synthesis and structural and spectroscopic characterizations of two polynuclear copper(I) and silver(I) thiosaccharinates and of the thiosaccharin disulfide. REFERENCES [1] P.
