Resumen:
We analyze the behavior of the resolvent, the zeta-function and the trace of the heat-kernel of a second order differential operator with a regular singularity in a compact segment, which leads to nontrivial self-adjoint extensions. We show that this reflects in the presence of simple poles of the zeta-function lying at points which depend on the strength of the singularity (contrary to the regular case), with residues depending on the self-adjoint extension considered. This can be related to the scale non-invariance of the domain of these operators.
