Resumen:
The nonmesonic weak decay width of $^{12}_{Lambda}C$ hypernucleushas been evaluated within a nuclear matter formalism, using thelocal density approximation. In addition to the one-body induceddecay $(Lambda N ightarrow n N)$, it has been also consideredthe two-body induced decay $(Lambda NN ightarrow n N N)$. Thissecond decay is originated from ground state correlations, where arenormalization procedure to ensure a ground state normalized toone has been implemented. Our results show that the plain additionof the two-body induced decay implies a lost in the groundstate-norm, which adds $sim 38%$ of spurious intensity to thenonmesonic weak decay width.By an adequate selection of the $Lambda N$-transition potential, our result for thenonmesonic weak decay width of $^{12}_{Lambda}C$ is 0.956, in goodagreement with the most recent data.
