Resumen:
Abstract.— “Comparative analysis of greisens associated to SN-W deposits in sierra de Fiambalá and sierra de Mazán, Catamarca and La Rioja provinces, Argentina”. In Sierra de Fiambalá and Sierra de Mazán exist tin and tungsten deposits associated to evolved granites of paleozoic age. In this contribution a comparative analysis of the greisen associated to that mineralization is carried out. In the southeast sector of Sierra de Fiambalá El Salto and Ayacucho granitic stocks intrude ordovicic amphibolites. In the western edge of Sierra de Fiambalá Los Ratones granite intrudes the metamorphic basement of Precambrian-Eocambrian age. In the north sector of Sierra de Mazán La Quebrada granite crops out in ordovicic granitic rocks. In studied greisen were defined the following mineral assemblages: Los Ratones: quartz-mica; topaz-mica; sericite- quartz. El Salto: clorite - sericite - fluorite - topaz - quartz. Ayacucho: zinnwaldite-quartz. La Quebrada: quartz-muscovite-tourmaline; muscovite-quartz - tourmaline-topaz. These different assemblages would indicate that in the tin-tungten deposits of Sierra de Fiambalá greisen systems were rich in fluorine, while in Sierra de Mazán it was a mixed system rich in fluorine and boron.
