Resumen:
Abstract. Calcite veins from Farallón
Blanco, Sierra de La Ramada, Tucumán. Farallón
Blanco is placed in the eastern edge of
Sierra de La Ramada, Burruyacú, Tucumán
province. In the hill crop out metamorphytes
(Precambrian Eocambrian), granitoids (Paleozoic)
and sedimentites of Cretaceous end
terciary ages. Calcite lodes are emplaced in
metamorphytes at both side of El Naranjito
gulch. Main lode have 1,5 m wide and have
been recognized 90 m along the strike. Metal
mineralization, very scarce, is native gold,
pirite and chalcopyrite disseminated in calcite
and also in quartz veins. It is suggested that the
deposit have and hydrothermal origin possibly
related to the Complejo Alto de las Salinas.
