Background: Thrombosis remains the main complication in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). Although age, previous thrombosis and JAK2V617F are associated with thrombotic risk, additional predictive factors are lacking. Cell-free(cf) DNA is associated with thrombosis in diverse prothrombotic conditions and was found elevated in small MPN cohorts.
