Resumen:
This study was made during the Psychological Research Methods course, Chair I of the Faculty of Psychology, UBA. Numerous precedents show that aging is associated with the deterioration of some cognitive capacities, like  memory. There are evidences indicating that  deficiencies of memory associated with the age can improve with training, both young and mature adults. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the age and the training on a task of recall of words, comparing a group of young adults with a group of mature adults, who were receiving or not training. The young adults remembered more words that the mature ones. Furthermore, the training produced an increase in the quantity of words remembered in both groups. The Young group without training and Mature group with training obtained a similar performance. The clinical implications of the effect of the training in young and mature adults are discussed.
