Resumen:
Since its discovery, polyaniline (PANI) has been widely studied because of its amazing properties such as good conductivity, redox reversibility, easy doping and dedoping process, thermal and environmental stability, and biocompatibility [1]. Taking into account that PANI has poor mechanical properties as a disadvantage, new materials can be developed to improve them by blending PANI with a variety of other polymeric matrixes. However, previous to blending, is also possible to improve and modify the mechanical properties of a given material by incorporating micro and nano-sized particles to it. The main goal of this work is to study how PANI´s properties varies when polymerization is carries out in presence of particles of aluminium (high ductility), quartz (high abrasion and hardness) and carbon nanotubes, in a low wt % relative to the monomer.
