Resumen:
The present book is devoted to the subject of
soil colloidal components and their interaction with ionic species. The
fundamental problem of ion binding to natural colloids (both inorganic
such as clays and oxides, and organic, mainly humic substances) is a
multidisciplinary research field which raises special challenges. These
come mainly from the heterogeneous and (sometimes) ill-defined nature
of natural colloids, specially humic substances. Soil scientists, on
one side, and colloid chemists, on the other one, tend to have
different views of the problem. This book is intended as a contribution
to fill the gap, and also bring the latest advances in this active
research field.
