Resumen:
  A difunctional triphenylene, 2,7-acetyloxy-3,6,10,11-tetrahexyloxy triphenylene, was synthesized and characterized by NMR spectra, FT-IR spectra, and elemental analysis. The reaction of 2,7-acetyloxy-3,6,10,11-tetrahexyloxy triphenylene with 2,7-carboxydecyloxy-3,6,10,11-tetrahexyloxy triphenylene, yielded a main-chain co-polymer, characterized by FT-IR and NMR spectra. Its liquid crystalline properties have been analyzed by means of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC).
