Resumen:
Soils constitute one of the greatest assets of Argentina. This resource, coupled with the climatic conditions, confers this country the capacity to produce food for more than ten times its current population. Agricultural products constitute a large part of the country's exports, which is a situation that is expected to continue in the future. Soils, which are the base of all agricultural production, are a non-renewable natural resource that can be degraded by human activities. This is what has happened to many of local soils.
