Resumen:
Micronutrient availability has historically been considered suitable for crops in the Pampas region. However, some micronutrient deficiencies had been observed in last years as well as responses to fertilizer application. The lack of nutrients reposition resulted, with time, in a depletion of soil phytoavailable nutrients. At present, there are responses of Zn in maize and B in sunflower, although their application is not yet generalized. Responses to Cl are not economically significant and deficiencies of Cu, Fe, Mn and Mo are exceptional. In vegetables, fruits and other intensive crops micronutrient deficiency are more common, in special those irrigated with alkaline waters. As a synthesis, micronutrient fertilization is a new issue in commercial farms of the Pampas region, with lower development on diagnostic techniques and application technology.
