Resumen:
Abstract
The first results of the phytolith analyses carried out in the Tezanos Pinto Formation in SW of Entre Ríos province (Late Pleistocene Early Holocene), are presented. The tezanos Pinto Formation is the representative quaternary sedimentary unit of the loess of North Pampa; represented in this province by the Geomorphological Unit Crespo Loessic Hills. The results of the preliminary phytolith analysis of this unit, based on their fertility and the micro-remains composition, are detailed. The data indicate the high phytolith abundance and their graminoid, cyperoid, arecoid and dicotyledoneous likeness, associates according to the different analyzed samples to the diatoms, chrysostomataceae stomatocyst and spongy spicules presence.
