Resumen:
A numerical simulation of a thunderstorm generating a tornado F2 (Fujita scale), developed during the afternoon of 28 April 2001 over the area of Resistencia (27°27 S, 59°03 W) in Argentina, is performed using a nonhydrostatic mesoscale model in order to investigate this severe event. This investigation is mainly directed to test if the slight cyclonic curvature in the enviromental wind-shear is the responsible in the tornadogenesis stage. It is found that even if the curvature of the environmental wind hodograph has a slight cyclonic curvature, it was responsible for the tornadogenesis in the supercell storm that developed.
