Resumen:
The Variability of the American Monsoon Systems (VAMOS) modeling implementation is based on an integrated modeling, data analysis and assimilation strategy, which will facilitate the projectmeet its overarching goal. The strategy selected takes advantage of VAMOS enhanced observations, and is designed to simultaneously provide model-based guidance to the evolving multi-tiered VAMOS observing programme. The modeling implementation plan also makes significant contributions to the World Climate Research Program strategic framework relevant activities conducted within Climate Variability and Predictability (CLIVAR), in particular withrespect to assessing and improving seasonal forecasts and model simulations. Progresses made on these issues up to the Panel 11th meeting are updated in this article.
