Resumen:
We present an update of our spectroscopic study of M83 nuclear region, based on K-band spectra (1.9-2.49 mic) obtained on Gemini-North, using the Near InfraRed Imager and spectrograph (NIRI). Several stellar absorption and emission lines from de ionized gas are present in the spectral range chosen, which has minimized dust effects, and allows a better characterization of the underlying stellar population in this complex dynamical scenario. The main result is a rotational motion of the K-giant population, with an amplitude of 200 km/sec in the central 15", and a sigma-drop of the radial velocity dispersion in the central 3".mic) obtained on Gemini-North, using the Near InfraRed Imager and spectrograph (NIRI).
