Resumen:
We have obtained echelle spectra of all southern A type stars from the Bright StarCatalogue with a resolution of 0.04 A. More than 1,200 spectra were taken.We have review the different methods to derive v sin i.We have discussed the systematic effects involved.We selected a Fourier transform-based method to derive v sin i in the present redetermination.A statistical analysis will follow.
