At the General Assembly in Manchester, Commission 30 took over the responsibility of compiling the 9^th catalogue of orbits of spectroscopic binaries (aka SB9). Unlike its predecessors, SB9 is available on-line and users always access the current content of the database: there is no release date/ cycle per say. After six years of continuous update, the SB9 working group of Commission 30 presents the current content of the database as well as the tools made available to the contributors to help them providing their own orbits and radial velocities. That latter point is crucial. Indeed, whereas the number of queries to the database and citations confirms that SB9 meets a need of the community, there are still too few authors who spontaneously send their data once their orbits are published. This poster therefore also illustrates the benefit for the authors.
