Resumen:
Abstract Post-consumption of food pleasure decreases compared to food  controls, indicating the presence of sensory-specific satiety (SSS). To find the SSS of bitter and sweet Infusions mate was prepared at 1.2% W/V (MT), MT sweetened with sugar at 5% W / V or extract of Stevia rebaudiana B, 0.03% P / V. A panel of 25 assessors quantified, in three sessions, the perceived pleasure each infusion at 70 °C and four food controls (crackers cookies, yogurt, cornflakes, chocolate) pre and post-ingestion until satiety with each infusion. The results did not show any significant difference on the volume intake (215 + 9.5 ml) or on the decline of pleasure (mm) as a measure of SSS (-12.1 + 2.3 mm). We conclude that the SSS, which regulates the end of intake is not affected by the caloric density or the taste of these infusions.
