Resumen:
The use of different oxidants for homochiral cyclobutanols afforded dissimilar products depending on the agent used. Dess-Martin periodinane permited the obtention of the homochiral cyclobutanones and sodium hypochlorite produced only one of the two possible regioisomeric γ- butyrolactones.
