Resumen:
Self-efficacy impacts on effort, motivational behavior, and achievement in different areas of life. Self-efficacy refers to person?s beliefs about their capabilities to perform tasks and achieve specific goals. The objective of this study was to extend the analyses of the psychometric properties of the Self-efficacy at work Scale in Argentinian employees. Group differences by age, gender, and job experience were analyzed. Specifically, a convergent validity study was carried out in a sub-sample of employees. The total sample included 701 employees (Female: 58.2%), mean age 31.79 years (SD=11.09). Data were collected using ?Spanish version of the Social and Emotional Self-efficacy at work scale?, ?Professional Self-Efficacy Questionnaire? and ?Mental Workload Scale?.Significant differences were found: older participants (>29 years) have higher general self-efficacy than young participants (18-28 years); males have greater self-efficacy in the task than females; employees with persons in charge have higher social and self-efficacy in task. Results show high reliability as internal consistency for the overall Self-efficacy (á= .85), and for each sub-scale (á=.72 to .83) in Argentinian population. Self-efficacy at work shows a significant positive correlation with Professional Self-efficacy (r= .637; p< .001), but a weak significant positive correlation with Mental Workload (r=.234; p
