Extraversion and Agreeableness as Personality Characteristics Associated with Sense of Community.

The objective of this investigation was to study the influence of the personality factors, specifically the quality and intensity of interpersonal relationships in the sense of community.The sample was composed by 400 adults from Argentina.The Revised Inventory of Personality NEO (NEO PI-R) by Costa and McCrae (1992) and the Sense of Community Scale (Vignale, in press) were administered. Regression analyses were done between Extraversion and Agreeableness factors and the sense of community. According to the studied sample, we can conclude that the personality factors contributed significantly to the prediction of the sense of community.
