Resumen:
Present study shows results obtained analyzing psychometric properties of Coping Responses Inventory (CRI-A, Moos, 1993) adapted version (Mikulic, 1998) developed to assess approach and avoidance coping It was administered to a sample of 805 participants residing in Buenos Aires, ages between 20 and 50 years old. Alpha found shows high internal consistency (.84). Construct validity was examined and factorial analysis identified two main components in correspondence with Moos theoretical approach. There is a difference in only one scale that loaded on the opposite factor. These findings highlight the importance of reevaluating how coping is conceptualized and measured when adapting instruments.
