Factores que influyen sobre la calidad de vida de los ancianos que viven en geriátricos

A descriptive research was carried on to analyse the influence of the certain variables upon psychological well-being among assisted-living residents. To meet these objectives an intentional sample of 145 elderly subjects was obtained in geriatric confinement, of either sex (68% woman and 32% men), belonging to the middle socioeconomical level and between the ages of 66 and 99 years old. All of them lived in Buenos Aires City. To them were administered the following measurement instruments: a questionnaire of personal data including free time activities, a questionnaire of social support (Sarason) and a short questionnaire to measure the psychogical well-being among assisted-living residents.
