Resumen:
The advances in neonatal medicine enabled the reduction of morbi-mortality. Long periods of confinement and the entrance of parents in the NICU, created new contexts where the bond mother-baby is developed. In order to accomplish the goal of detecting indicators of risk in the bond mother-baby during confinement in NICU, it is necessary to know the characteristics of the process in which the relation mother-baby develops. In order to achieve this, an observation scale of the bond mother-baby in NICU, called N-EOV-INC, was administrated. The scale was elaborated in Argentina and it includes 21 items divided in 6 functions: Approach, Contact with the incubator, Corporal, Visual, Verbal and Postural function. These findings enable to enhance preventive interventions in perinatal mental health. In this article the results of the administration to 106 dyads mother-baby confined in the NICU of 3 hospitals in Buenos Aires, Argentina will be presented.
