Resumen:
A rock art sample of a black camel figure at a Hornillos 2 cave, an archaeological site located at 20 km from the town of Susques, Jujuy Province, Argentina at 4020 m above sea level was investigated. The purpose of the present work was the analysis of the inorganic and organic components of the sample in order to enlarge the understanding of the artistic practices and technological knowledge of the early inhabitants of this region.
