RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: to find freshmens’ learning obstacles within Biology subject concerning Carbohydrates Metabolism ü      Because it is a fundamental subject in courses of different levels during Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Nutrition and other careers ü      Because it involves scientific models from molecular, cellular and physiological level. ü      Large topic: our research focused on the “absortion stage” of MCH and intented to inquire about students’ knowledge on systemic interactions. ü      Population: volunteer freshmen from a section (200 out of 1,200 students). They were inquired with an open problem and a questionnaire, after they have been assessed with traditional examinations on the subject CHM.
