Resumen:
Lanostane-triterpene acids obtained from the culture of the fungus Coriolellus malicola were studied by electrospray mass spectrometry in negative ion mode using quadrupole time-of-flight (QTOF) and quadrupole ion trap (QIT) as analyzers. Despite the differences observed in the mass spectra recorded with these instruments, a set of fragment ions were found to be characteristic of the family, depending on the D7,9(11) or D8 skeleton and the particular functional group at C-3.
