Resumen:
Three-dimensional (3D) magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) models of the solar corona, necessary tomodel and predict space weather, must be validated observationally. At a global scale, this can be done using differential emission measure tomography (DEMT), which provides 3D distribution of electron density and temperature in the low corona (1.0 − 1.25 R). We performed a DEMT validation of the most recent version of Alfv´en Wave Solar atmosphere Model (AWSoM) within the Space Weather Modeling Framework (SWMF). A comparative analysis is carried out along the field lines of the electronic density and temperature of the model and tomography. For this study two solar minimum rotations are selected, one between solar cycles (SCs) 23 and 24 and another between SCs 24 and 25. We discuss the differences observed between the model and tomographic products and the limitations and possible future improvements for the AWSoM model.
