Resumen:
In this work, we make use of the Millennium Simulation to study the chemo-dynamical evolution of Milky Way type galaxies within a LCDM cosmology. We find that these systems might be described by a main progenitor which evolves by acquiring smaller substructures. Supernovae feedback regulates the evolution of these galaxies principally at high redshifts when the potential wells are shallower, while, at lower redshifts, the efficiency of star formation is mainly determined by AGNs. Our results suggest that the dispersion detected in the mass-metallicity plane for these galaxies reveals differences in their formation histories. However, statistically, we find evidences to support the Milky Way as a typical Sb/Sc galaxy, constituting a suitable benchmark to constrain numerical models of galaxy formation in the same mass range (De Rossi et al. 2009).
