Resumen:
The LAGO(Latin American Giant Observatory) project is a collaborative network ofCherenkov detectors inwater (WCDs) over ten Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile,Ecuador, Guatemala,Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Brazil). TheScientific Objectivesinclude the study of the energy spectrum andthe integrated flux of thesecondary particles generated by the primaries at the atmosphere. The collaborationnetwork has nodes at sites with different rigiditycut-offs and different altitudes and asseses the monitoring ofthe SpaceWeather conditions through the modulation of the cosmic ray flux . Thisnode will also permit toanalyze energetic particles from solarorigin, the so-called Ground Level Enhancements (GLEs), We present theupdate ofthe testing results for the implementation of the LAGO node inAntarctica. These were obtained atthe precampaign of 2017, where the in situ datatelemetry testing was performed for the meteorologicalstationdesigned for the Marambio node, including the testing ofthe thermic control for the system. Theimprovements in the new designof the Cherenkov detector in water and first results are also presented.
