Resumen:
In recent years, several studies have shown that the flares and coronal mass ejectionsoccurring on the Sun have a signicant impact on the terrestrial environment. These findings have encouraged research to understand how the impact of such explosionscan spread through the interplanetary space within the solar systemand what the consequences of these phenomena are. This work briefly describes the basics ofthe solar observations in Hα line center and its wings to obtain information about themotion of mass in the chromosphere toward the observer. Using the Doppler effect, itis possible to determine the velocities of the erupting filaments or similar structures fromsolar images obtained with the Flare Monitoring Telescope (FMT).We present illustrativeexamples related to the Sun?s impact on the terrestrial environment.
